Patrick and Mary Hatcliff run Hatcliff Construction as a husband-and-wife team. Patrick is on site every day, and the company does not use a separate superintendent.
The firm built Southern Living’s 2023 Idea House on 67 acres near Leiper’s Fork. The house was designed by Lake + Land Studio, with lap siding, custom-cut Alabama limestone, a party barn beside the pool and a garden folly.
Hatcliff has been named Southern Living Builder of the Year twice.
