Twenty-eight miles west of Buffalo, up US 16 into the Bighorn Mountains, this retreat pairs 121 deeded acres with about 2,120 acres of leased State of Wyoming grazing land. The country is timbered slopes, open parks and creek bottom, with Hazelton Peak as the backdrop.
Muddy Creek runs through the property and holds brook trout, and a spring-fed pond adds water for wildlife. Today the only improvement is a livable container camp on a generator; electric service is near the boundary for a future cabin or home.
Elk, mule deer, antelope and black bear use the area, and Dull Knife Reservoir is a short drive away. Winter snow can limit access, so this is a summer and fall place first.
