Up the North Fork Valley toward McClure Pass, Bull Mountain Ranch covers 1,949 deeded acres of mountain parks, timber and draws. Ault Creek runs year-round through the property for about a mile and a quarter, and Gunnison National Forest borders the ranch for two and a half miles.
The land is protected by a conservation easement with the Valley Land Conservancy. It allows a 20-acre building envelope inside a 60-acre area, so building is concentrated in one chosen spot while the rest of the ranch stays as it is.
It is in Game Management Unit 521, known for its elk, with year-round access off Highway 133. Delta and Carbondale are each about an hour away.
