Dovetail Construction was founded in 2004, when Tim Rote moved to Montana, and is now part of the Big-D family of companies. Founders Rote and Kevin Sullivan describe the firm’s base as quality, integrity and service.
Its Bozeman home near the Bridger Mountains made the cover of Big Sky Journal HOME’s 30th-anniversary issue, with stonework, reclaimed floors, hand-hewn timbers and stacked-timber cabin walls. The firm also rebuilt an old ranch house near the Yellowstone River in Paradise Valley.
