Aberdeen Custom Gate & Iron

Jeffery Presbaugh learned leatherwork from saddle makers before he ever built a gate, and that craftsman’s eye still shows in every entrance Aberdeen Custom Gate & Iron creates.

From their shop in Weatherford, Texas, Aberdeen has designed and built custom ranch gates, driveway gates and estate entrances since 1997. Each one begins as a hand-drawn design made for the property, whether that means a quiet working-ranch entrance or a statement gate carrying a ranch brand, a monogram, a windmill or a pair of elk.

One of Aberdeen’s signatures is hand-finished aluminum, painted and detailed to resemble weathered cedar, oak or cypress. It has the warmth of old wood with none of the warping or restaining.

They also create architectural and modern gates and specialty ironwork, all fabricated in Texas and shipped to properties nationwide.

The result is an entrance that feels less like something chosen from a catalog and more like part of the property itself.
